Baobinga & ID remixes getting some love.

Found this small review of my efforts for the EP.

"DFRNT has two remixes here, the first substituting Big Beat for Dubstep in his take of The Machine, before he drops a sublime remix of Into The Air, melding atmospheric pads and futuristic beats into a smoke-fuelled work of art, reminiscent of the understated ambience which has brought Burial so much acclaim."

Baobinga & ID remixes now available!

I've just recieved Fat! Records' promo email regarding the forthcoming "Big Monster Dubstep Remix EP" - where the lovely people have written this about my efforts...

"Into The Air (DFRNT Remix) / The Machine (DFRNT Remix) – Another new recruit joins the fray, having recently been signed up for remix duties on Hatcha’s ‘Flippin’ (Insectmind), DFRNT has doubled his efforts for Fat! with 2 new mixes offered on this EP. Both showcase his lush, cathedral-like style of dub-influenced Electronica, reminiscent of Aphex Twin in one of his calmer moments. Pushing on the boundaries of the Dubstep genre, these two new arrangements nicely round off a truly eclectic package."

September mix finally up

After promising the mix as an exclusive to Insectmind, then to Act Now, I can finally add the mix for everyone to download. It's basically alot of the stuff I've been doing recently, including tracks from the debut EP, the new Forward Thinking EP on Echodub, a couple of remixes and a few tracks that I'm enjoying right now. I think for the October mix (if I manage it) I'll be putting it out on the Echodub podcasts, so stay tuned for that. You can download the September mix from the mixes page.

New tracks - EDUB003 - Lounge/Wake Up

DFRNT has now released Lounge, Wake Up & slaFF's remix of Wake Up on Echodub. You can pick all three tracks up for less than £1.50 (in total). You can also stream them from the player on the right, and download 160k mp3s from the releases page.

Hatcha remix complete

You can hear DFRNT's take on Hatcha's track "Flippin'" to the right in the player. No release date has been set for this yet, but rest assured it will be appearing on Insectmind at some point soon.

DFRNT set to remix Hatcha!

DFRNT is one of a select few producers who have been asked by Insectmind to remix Hatcha's track "Flippin" for a forthcoming remixes release. Currently, there's not much more info, but expect to hear more news when it's available.

DFRNT - The Forward Thinking EP debut release on Echodub

After the release of his album, DFRNT has followed up the well-recieved 8 track EP, with "The Forward Thinking EP" a 2-track offering, with a progressed sound. His new work is deeper, more minimal and more chilled-out, with more concentration on craftingsounds as opposed to filling the mix. You can get the new EP for just 89p - less than 50p per track from Echodub.

DFRNT has recently completed 2 remixes for Fat! Records. Baobinga & ID's breaks album "Big Monster" is getting the remix treatment, with 2 EPs set to be released. DFRNT will be featuring twice on the first EP alongside Aquasky, Hektagon and ID.

DFRNT appears on international dubstep compilation.

"The Definition Series: Dubstep"; self proclaimed as "2 CDs of the very best in the world of dubstep" has been released with a DFRNT track on CD1. "Tenfold" features at number 13 in the mix. The CD is available to buy from Borders, Zavvi, Play.com, Currys, Amazon, Tesco, Woolworths and Asda.
